Sending funds to a phone number is simple on Vesseo. This feature lets you transfer money to someone even if they don’t yet have a Vesseo account.
To send funds to a phone number
Sign in to your Vesseo account.
Tap the Send icon
at the bottom of the screen.
Enter the phone number of the recipient.
Select USDC as the asset.
Enter the amount you want to send and tap Review.
Confirm that the details (amount and phone number) are correct, then tap Confirm.
Send a message to the recipient by tapping Send message. You can share this via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or social media.
Done! The funds will be ready for your contact to claim them.
| Note: Your contact must provide the same phone number when creating their Vesseo account to claim the funds. |
Can I send funds even if they are not in my contacts?
Yes! You only need the recipient’s phone number.
How many phone payments can I have at the same time?
You can have up to 5 active phone payments.
If your contact hasn’t claimed the funds, you can send them a reminder.
To send more, you’ll need to cancel one of the pending payments first.
How long does it take for the funds to arrive?
The payment is ready to be claimed immediately after you confirm the transaction.
How can I check the status of my payment?
Go to your Transaction History by tapping the clock icon at the bottom of your home screen.
If the funds haven’t been claimed → the transaction will show as “Paid + phone number”.
If the funds have been claimed → the transaction will show as “Reclaimed payment”.
Can I cancel a phone number payment?
Yes, but only if it hasn’t been claimed yet.
To cancel:
Open the payment in your Transaction History.
Tap Cancel.
Confirm the cancellation.
Once canceled, the funds will be returned to your account instantly.
| Please note: Payments that have already been claimed cannot be reversed. |
How will the recipient be notified?
They will receive an SMS notification informing them that funds are waiting for them.
Once they create their Vesseo account (using the same phone number), they will see the balance available.
My contact hasn’t received the funds. What should I do?
If your contact does not receive the SMS or cannot claim the funds, please reach out to our Support Team by creating a support ticket here. We’ll be happy to help you!
